SWITZERLAND

Arrival at Zurich airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and we leave to enjoy a panoramic tour of the city with a walking tour of the historic center admiring the Grossmünster Cathedral, the Le Corbusier Center, the Lindenhof and the Carolingian Imperial Palace. Then we go to Schaffhausen to see the magnificent waterfalls of the Rhine River.

Return to the city and free afternoon.

Today we start our tour to Bellinzona where we will travel back in time to the middle Ages with the visit of the 3 fortresses of Bellinzona: Castelgrande, Montebello and Sasso Corbaro, built in medieval times to protect the area from attacks from the southern countries and especially from Milano. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, they are the most important example of medieval construction in the Alpine area. We continue to Lugano, the largest Italian-speaking town in Switzerland and located on the shores of Lake Lugano. On a guided walking tour through the historic center we will discover its jewels, such as the Cantonale and Salita dei Frati libraries, the Swiss National Archives, the cathedral of San Lorenzo and the church of San Rocco.

Rest of the day at leisure and overnight. 

After breakfast, we will depart to Zermatt, heart of the Swiss Alps. We arrive at the village of Täsch, where we will leave the coach to board the train that will take us up to Zermatt, as it is the only car-free village in Switzerland (it is recommended to carry only hand luggage for this night). Arrival in Zermatt and walk to the hotel.

Rest of the day free to enjoy the views, hiking, etc. Overnight. 

Breakfast and return by train to Täsch, where the coach will pick us up to continue the journey to Geneva. Surrounding the Leman Lake we will visit the towns of Montreux, Thonon-lesBains and Yvoire until arriving to Geneva. Lodging

Visit of the city on the shores of Lake Geneva and diplomatic center of Europe due to the UN and many other international organizations present in the city. In a guided walking tour of the historic center we will discover the Cathedral of St. Peter and the Chapel of the Maccabees, the Library, the Calvin College, the University and the Palais Wilson, among others. Then departure to Lausanne, Olympic capital, before arriving in Berne, capital of the country.

Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to visit its historic center, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, composed of small streets where we will see the symbol of the city, the “Zytlogge” (the bell of time), the “Bärengraben”, the house of Albert Einstein and the Federal Palace which houses the Swiss Parliament.

Free afternoon and overnight.

After a short drive of just over an hour, we will arrive in Interlaken, Switzerland’s mountain center par excellence. A cable car ride will take us to the Jungfraujoch Mountain, known as “the top of Europe” and whose railroad station is the highest in Europe. Free time to enjoy panoramic views of the heart of Switzerland before returning to Interlaken.

Rest of the day at leisure and overnight.

This day we will continue exploring the mountains of Switzerland by climbing Mount Titlis with its exciting rotating cable car “Titlis Rotair”, the 1st rotating cable car in the world that takes you from the Valley Station to the top of the mountain, 3020m above sea level. Upon arrival, we will follow the path to the glacier cave through a subway tunnel and a transparent platform with a view, holding our breath as we cross the suspension bridge! Return to the valley and continue to Lucerne.

Overnight stay.

Departure to Munich bordering Lake Constance. We will visit the island of Mainau, which is reached by crossing a bridge and is also known as the “Island of Flowers”, for its lush and well-kept vegetation. We will continue to Bregenz, on the Austrian shore, famous for its summer opera festival, whose performances take place on the stage located inside the lake.

We arrive in Munich in the late afternoon.

Breakfast at the hotel and at the agreed time, transfer to the airport.
