Day 1: Arrival Tirana 


Upon arrival in Tirana International Airport, we continue towards the transfer in the city. 

Check in in hotel and walking tour of Tirana, o modern city where different types of historical architectures mix with each other making the capital of Albania a very different metropolitan city. After the visit of Tirana, in the evening we prepare for a special activity in the center on the city where we do our own art for those who love Zamu work shops this is the perfect evening.

Day 2: Tirana – Shkodra 

After breakfast we continue towards the North Albania, Shkodra city. Shkodra is known to be the center of Albanian Catholicism, Culture and Harmony between different religions. Take a walk at the Pedestrian Street called “Kole Idromeno” that is situated in the center of Shkodra, very Mediterranean taste passing through mosques and churches. 

Have you ever wondered what traditional Albanian food tastes like? Here you may have the chance to learn how to prepare local cuisine at a family’s home, then this is the course for you! After 1.5 hour of cooking class, you will enjoy the dishes you have helped preparing! The activity includes a tour of the garden, eating, and sampling different wines that are made right here on the premises. You will learn how to make Burek, bread, soups and traditional Albanian salad. Every participant will get an emailed recipe book so they can make these dishes at home. 

During the trip, we make a brief stop to meet an inspiring Albanian woman who plays a significant role in preserving the Xhubleta, a traditional handcrafted garment that holds a deep cultural significance. This beautiful attire, with its intricate craftsmanship, has been officially recognized by UNESCO as part of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage. The Albanian lady’s dedication to reviving and maintaining the art of creating the Xhubleta ensures that this centuries-old tradition continues to thrive, connecting the past to the present. Through her efforts, the rich history and cultural identity of Albania are celebrated and shared with the world.

Day 3: Shkodra – Koman – Valbone


After a hearty breakfast, we set off towards Koman Lake, where the serene waters offer a direct route to one of the most breathtaking villages in Albania, nestled within the stunning Dinaric Alps — Valbona. The journey takes us through majestic landscapes, with rugged mountains towering above and lush greenery lining the shore. As we approach Valbona, we are greeted by its picturesque beauty, where traditional stone houses dot the landscape, and the untouched nature surrounding the village creates a peaceful atmosphere, inviting us to explore its timeless charm. 

In Valbona, we enjoy a scenic walk through the heart of nature, where the tranquility of the environment allows us to immerse ourselves fully in the beauty of the Park. As we explore the lush trails of Valbona NP, we encounter diverse flora and fauna, with the sound of the river gently flowing in the background. A highlight of our walk is a visit to the charming watermill near the village, where we can learn about traditional methods of milling grain that have been practiced for generations. This peaceful spot offers a perfect opportunity to connect with the local heritage and appreciate the harmonious relationship between the community and nature.

Day 4: Valbone – Prizren 


After breakfast, we drive towards the city of Prizren in Kosovo, a captivating destination where authentic Albanian culture beautifully blends with the charm of Ottoman architecture. As we explore the city, we are drawn to its stunning sights, including historical hammams, mosques, and traditional houses that reflect centuries of cultural influence. We enjoy a leisurely walking tour of Prizren, immersing ourselves in its rich history and vibrant atmosphere. 

In the evening, we wander through the bustling bazaar, where the atmosphere evokes the essence of the Ottoman era, and indulge in some shopping for unique local goods and crafts.

Day 5: Prizren – Ujvara e Drinit – Prizren  


Today, we embark on a captivating tour to the Drin Waterfalls and its source, one of Albania's most beautiful natural wonders. Our journey takes us through scenic landscapes, where the rushing waters of the Drin River form a series of stunning waterfalls surrounded by lush forests and dramatic cliffs. We explore the area on foot, taking in the breathtaking views and the soothing sounds of the cascading water. The pristine beauty of this area offers a perfect opportunity for photography and relaxation, immersing us in the natural splendor of Kosovo's hidden gems.

On our way back, we make a meaningful stop at the Peć Patriarchate Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most important Serbian Orthodox monasteries in the region. Nestled in the beautiful Rugova Valley, the monastery complex is an architectural masterpiece, known for its stunning frescoes, intricate details, and spiritual significance. The serene atmosphere and remarkable heritage of the site provide a perfect conclusion to our day of exploration. 

Drive back to Prizren and enjoy a free evening

Day 6: Prizren – Kruje 

 

After the breakfast, our drive from Prizren to Kruja will take us through scenic landscapes, with breathtaking views of mountains, valleys, and charming villages along the way.

Kruja, with its beautiful castle in a picturesque setting, was once the heart of the Albanian nation. It was here that the National Hero, George Kastrioti Skanderbeg, fiercely defended Albania against Ottoman invaders for many years. Our walking tour takes us through the cobbled pathways, leading us to the vibrant Ottoman bazaar, charming wooden shops, and the historic castle walls. A visit to the Museum of "Skanderbeg" within the castle will provide fascinating insights history of this legendary hero. As we explore the old houses, we also learn about the traditional lifestyle of northern Albania. Afterward, enjoy some free time to wander through the bustling bazaar, perfect for shopping local handicrafts and souvenirs.

Day 7: Kruje – Airport  


Today, after breakfast, it's time to say goodbye and board your flight back home.
