8 Days Gourmet Tour in Albania

Day 1: Arrival Tirana- Mrizi Zanave Agroturizem– Shkoder

Upon Arrival to Tirana, we transfer towards Mrizi I Zanava Agrotourism, where we enjoy a mix a Albanian traditional food, with a variety of cheeses, meat, dry meat and vegetables, as well as fresh juices. 

After enjoying the amazing lunch in Mrizi I Zanave we depart towards Shkoder in the Northen Albania known as the center of Catholicism in Albania and as well as ne of the main center of Albanian culture and traditions.

Day 2: Shkoder – Kruje

After breakfast we start by walking and visitng the city of Shkodra, we start with the visit of the Ventian Art factory where the Ventian traditional maks are made and produced. We continue toward the city center where we visit the ventian architerute and enjoy the mix culture of the city and we end up with a lunch in Shirok enjoing the fiish plates from the Shkodra lake. 

After Shkodra we depart towards Kruja where we enjoy the multiculture bazaar where is the perfect place to buy a suvenire from the Albania, we as well visit the cslte and museum of Skanderbag exploring the history of Albania. 

For Dinner we enjoy the traditional plates of Kruja Region especially based on meat. Ending the dinner with a traditional special dessert made out of meat and cooked for up to 8 hrs. called Kabuni.

Day 3: Kruje – Berat

After breakfast we depart towards Berat, the UNESCO heritage city not only offers an amazing culture and history but as well a mixed culinary.

We start with the visit of the castle where we visit the 2000 years old fortress where still people live uphill and the mixture of the architectures is breathtaking. 

 We continue with lunch trying Berat traditional food especially providing their olives and olive oil. Beside it we try the traditional Albanian burek that in Berat is made with cabbage. 

After the lunch we depart towards Cobo winery where we try the Albanian taste of wine. 

And we close our tour next to the thousand windows where we take the famous picture and enjoy the neighborhoods of Mangalam and Gorica.

Day 4: Berat – Gjirokaster

After Breakfast we depart towards the city of Gjirokaster. 

We start with te Gjirokastra tour where we visit the castle and the Bazaar of the city meeting the traditional small streets of this Ottoman style city. 

We enjoy the lunch in a traditional restaurant where the highlights for the taste will be the Shapkat Japrak and Qifqi traditional foods made with love from Gjitrokastra ladies. 

After Lunch we leave free time to enjoy the city. 

On dinner time we enjoy other plates that are connected with the history and tradition in this UESCO heritage city accompanied by a folk show.

Day 5: Gjirokaster – Sarande

After Breakfast we depart towards Saranda with a stop in Butrint where we discover the heritage of a ancient Greko roman city. 

For lunch we invite you on a mussel tour in Butrinti lake home of Mussels, and we enjoy a mussel based menu next to the Ksamil village. 

In the evening free time to enjoy the city.

Day 6: Sarande – Vlore

After breakfast we depart towards the Albanian Rivera to discover the panoramic road between Saranda and Vlora with the small traditional Albanian coast villages. 

Our first stop in Llogara national park where as per tradition we try the goat yogurt with honey and nuts everything made at home. 

We continue with our lunch enjoying a nice baked lamb. 

After lunch we depart in Vlora where we enjoy the seafood of the coast.

Day 7: Vlore-Tirana

After breakfast we continue towards the capital city where we eat lunch in Vila Era restaurant enjoy plates that include the tradition of central Albania. 

We enjoy visiting the multicultural and multicolor capital city during the evening enjoying as well the mixed architecture from fascist to communist and moder luxury. 

Dinner in Restaurant Artigiano to try international food served in Albanian style.

Day 8: Tirana - Airport Tirana

After breakfast we depart to airport.
